The US markets ended mixed after lackluster session within a narrow range. The Dow closed at the highest levels since June 5, 2008.

Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.19% or 23.31 points at 12400.03. Nasdaq Composite was down 0.01% or 0.41 points at 2789.19. Standard & Poor's 500 was up 0.03% or 0.46 points at 1332.87.

Asian markets were trading higher following positive cues from US markets. Shanghai Composite was trading at 2,967, up 38.89 points or 1.33%.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was trading at 24,055.86, 253.96 points or 1.07% and Japan's Nikkei 225 Average rose 69.89 points or 0.72% to 9,778.28.
